The Only Thing Counted Here Is Time

No card is taken and no balance is held for you. Credits are issued to the page for one visit and expire with it, and there is no step at which money enters the room.

  • Nothing To Pay
  • Nothing To Collect
  • No Sign Up

Demo paytable (virtual credits): five or more identical instruments resting against one another along their edges register as a single cluster, clearing together and returning your stake times that instrument's value times how many were counted in. The gap closes from above, fresh instruments arrive at the top, and each further clear inside the same listen jumps the chain to the next rung of a very short, very steep ladder. Whatever the panel reports, a “MAGNETAR” included, is virtual credits: no cash value, and nothing that can be redeemed, exchanged or withdrawn.

Clusters, the settle, and four rungs

The room holds six columns and five rows, so thirty instruments are on the bench at any moment. Five or more of the same instrument touching along an edge, above, below or to either side, register as one cluster and clear together. Touching at a corner does not register. A diagonal never joins a cluster, which is what keeps a shape readable once the tethers are drawn across it.

A cleared cluster leaves a hole. Whatever sat above it drops, new instruments arrive along the top row, and if the settled arrangement registers another cluster it clears in turn without anything further from you. A run of those is a chain.

Four rungs, and they are not gentle

Most boards of this kind take eight or nine small steps. This one takes four: one, four, ten, twenty-five. There is no easing in. The second clear already quadruples, and a fourth is a rare thing worth waiting for. The trade is that a long run has nowhere left to climb, so the interest sits in the first few steps rather than in endurance.

The panel, control by control

  • Stake sets how many virtual credits each listen spends. The two buttons move it through five fixed values and stop at either end.
  • Burst compresses the animation for anyone who would rather not sit through the settle.
  • Listen puts a fresh thirty on the bench.
  • Session Net reports the gap between what has been staked and what has come back, for this browser tab and nothing beyond it.

All of it runs on your own device. No result is requested from a server, none is reported back, and refreshing clears everything.

What a social game is, without the sales pitch

Long Cadence publishes Free Social Games, which here means a single page carrying a single demo game. You arrive and you play. Nothing asks who you are. There is no account to open, no wallet to fill, no feature kept back and no later moment at which a price appears. The instruments on the bench are counted in virtual credits, and virtual credits stop existing when the tab closes.

Saying it outright matters, because the form is borrowed. Cascading grids and climbing multipliers are the vocabulary of products built to move money, and that vocabulary brings expectations along with it. None of them apply here. Nothing on this page can win you money, cost you money, or become money afterwards by any route.

The closer comparison is a working model kept under glass. The mechanism is honest and repeats itself exactly, and the part it is a model of has been left out on purpose. The Pulsar Beacon set is drawn from the sort of instruments a timing room would genuinely have kept on its rack, and the grid holds up to as much scrutiny as you want to give it.

A reading, not a balance

Three thousand two hundred credits are on the counter when the page opens. A listen spends some, a cluster returns some. That is the whole life of the number.

Virtual credits are not for sale. This site has no checkout, no cashier and no page that could take a payment, and none is planned. They cannot be given away, traded or moved between accounts, because there are no accounts here and nobody to move them to. They cannot be withdrawn, converted or redeemed against cash, goods, vouchers, tokens or entry into anything at all.

They are not stored either. Nothing about a visit is written to your device or sent anywhere. Reload and the counter reads three thousand two hundred again, which is the clearest demonstration we can offer that it was a reading and never a balance.

Run it to zero and the game refills it unprompted. There is nothing here to lose and nothing to top up.

Questions about Free Social Games

Is Long Cadence free the whole way through?
It is, and there is no fuller edition waiting behind it. The page loads, the bench fills, you play. No card is asked for at any stage, nothing is offered for sale, and no part of the game sits behind a payment. There is no premium mode, no unlockable feature and no currency on sale anywhere on the site. Free carries its ordinary meaning rather than describing a trial that quietly turns into a charge.
Can any of this become money?
No, and by no route. Results are added to a virtual credit counter that exists only in your browser tab, and that counter has no cash value, cannot be redeemed and cannot be withdrawn. There is no cashier, no payout, no prize and no voucher anywhere in it. If real stakes are what you want then this is the wrong page, and we would rather state that plainly than let a familiar-looking grid do the implying.
Do I need an account or a deposit?
Neither exists on this site. There is no registration form, no login and no profile. We never ask for your name, your email address or your date of birth, because there is nothing on our side any of it could attach to. With no account in play, funding one never arises as a question. It is the simplest kind of anonymity there is: nothing is collected that would afterwards need protecting.
Why a cluster grid instead of reels?
Because a cluster bench makes the point more honestly than a fixed line game does. The whole bench is live at once, one clear can set several more going without you, and the chain hands you a few seconds of unfolding result rather than one frozen answer. It is also just a different object to sit and watch, which is the point of building a working model instead of restating something you have already seen.
Is my play recorded between visits?
It is not. The game holds its numbers in memory while the tab stays open and forgets all of them the instant you refresh or close it. We set no cookies and use no browser storage to remember your stake, your credits or that you were ever here. Nothing accumulates quietly in the background and no history can be retrieved later, because none of it was written down at all.
How does this differ from online casinos?
Unlike this free social demo, real-money online casinos accept deposits, hold player balances and pay those balances out. Long Cadence does none of those three, and the whole distinction rests there. A free social demo needs no licence; online casinos are licensed and regulated as gambling operators precisely because real money passes through them, and none passes through this room. If you have used online casinos before, this free social version may look familiar on the surface, but the machinery beneath it is absent by design.
Are there free spins, bonuses or promotions?
None whatsoever. Real-money online slots lean on free spins as an opening hook, and slots games on those operators generally attach wagering conditions to whatever gets handed over; Long Cadence runs nothing of the sort, because there is nothing here to promote and nothing that could be wagered. No welcome package, no loyalty ladder, no daily reward. Game sites handing out something for nothing are usually working toward an account being funded, and there is no account here to fund.

Playing safely

If you or someone you know needs support, help is available across Canada. Contact the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) for prevention resources, or ConnexOntario for 24/7 free confidential support at 1-866-531-2600.

No money and no stake exist anywhere in Long Cadence, so it cannot leave you out of pocket. It can still take an evening from you, and a game built on settles and a steep short ladder is made to hold you for one more listen. If you find yourself going well past the point you meant to stop, or reaching for something like this to take the edge off stress or a low mood, that deserves attention whether or not money is anywhere near it. Take breaks. Put the limit on the clock rather than on the counter.

This site is meant for adults aged 18 and over. It is not built for children and should not be handed to them as a game.

Notice for Quebec residents

Real-money online gambling in Quebec is lawfully offered only by Loto-Québec. Long Cadence is a free social casino with no real-money play and is not affiliated with Loto-Québec or with any Canadian provincial lottery corporation.

Self-exclusion, and the controls already on your device

Sites in this area usually offer a self-exclusion setting that locks an account for a chosen period. We have none, for the simple reason that there is no account here to lock. What we can do instead is point you at the controls that work whether or not a website cooperates, and those already sit on the hardware in front of you.

  • Browser and network blocking. Every major browser supports extensions that block a list of sites, and most home routers and mobile operating systems carry the same ability built in. A block applied there survives any amount of cookie clearing.
  • Parental and screen-time controls. Windows, macOS, iOS and Android all ship with content filters and time limits. These are the right tool when the concern is somebody else in the household rather than yourself.
  • Dedicated blocking software. Tools such as GamBan and BetBlocker are built specifically to block gambling and gambling-adjacent sites across a device or an entire home network, and they cost little or nothing.

If you have already self-excluded from real-money gambling, or you are working through a programme with a support service, adding free social games to the same block list is a reasonable step. The absence of money does not reliably mean the absence of a trigger, and every tool above will treat this site exactly as it treats any other.

About Long Cadence

Long Cadence is operated by Long Cadence Ltd. and publishes exactly one thing: a free social demo game on a pulsar timing theme, together with the legal and safety material that belongs beside it.

We are not a gambling operator, not an affiliate of one, and not a comparison or review site. We hold no gaming licence, because nothing we publish requires one, and we are not affiliated with any lottery corporation or real-money gaming brand. Long Cadence publishes free social games only.

Privacy Policy

We handle personal information in accordance with the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy statutes. Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There is no registration, no form and no input field anywhere on this site asking for personal information. We do not collect your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, date of birth or payment details, because nothing on the site would have any use for them.

Game data

Your stake, your credit counter and your session totals sit in your browser's memory for as long as the tab stays open. They are never transmitted to us and never written to your device. Closing or refreshing the page discards all of it.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. It uses no local storage, no session storage and nothing comparable, and it loads no third-party scripts, fonts, analytics or advertising tags that could set one on our behalf. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Your browser may still keep its ordinary cache of the page files, which is outside our control and holds nothing about you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web server request logs, which can include an IP address, a timestamp and a browser user agent string. They exist to keep the site running and secure, are not tied to any identity, and are never used to build a profile or shared for advertising.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal information about you, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to privacy@longcadence.com and we will respond.
